I started this blog because there is a 'massive' misrepresentation of women who happen to have large breasts. If y'all enjoy looking at them so much, why are we not able to pick up our size at the local store like every other gal? For those of us born this way, we didn't choose this, so help a sister out!! Oh yeah, by the way, my eyes are up here!
Busting At The Seams
Those among us with a fuller bust looking for a more vintage/retro look should look no further than Dollhouse Bettie. It’s this adorable shop in San Fransisco with an awesome website. I came across it in my search for the perfect red bra in the G cup range. Not an easy task, mind you, but my search ever continues! Now, their cup sizes only go up to G and not all styles are available in a G cup, but everything from leopard print bullet bras to high waisted panties with garter straps to fantastic bustiers on red lipstick and roller set clad models. I say that even if you don’t order from them, at least visit the website, it’s adorable: http://www.dollhousebettie.com/. Happy shopping!
Do you have this bra and panty set? No? Why not? It’s gorgeous! I was attracted to it because I had never seen a watercolor-influenced pattern in a lingerie set before, and let me tell you, like a real Monet painting, pictures do not do it justice. While this set is rather comfortable and can be worn daily, I feel it is more for speed than endurance. Might need to jump a cup size up. As for the bottoms, I got the thong, and it’s true to size. I give it an A-, and if I may plug my favrotie company to purchase from, Bravissimo, they have never steered me wrong : ) www.bravissimo.com
Who came up with that one?!
Oh dear Lord, I am in a wedding next month and if they make me jump I swear to God…
Truth.
Ok, so I’ve never really had a desire to live overseas, but public health, respect for acting careers and growing acceptance of curvy bodies is giving me cause to make the move…this gal, Robyn Lawley, is super awesome and I commend her for taking the plunge and showing how beautiful double digits and DD+ look like. A friend of mine posted a link to a rather enlightening article about female sexuality and the Male Gaze in the gaming industry. Now, as a woman who writes about lingerie and female sex appeal, I also include concern for personal identity because it’s essential if you want to be viewed as a human being rather than an object. I’m a visual person and I believe sexuality is a natural and aesthetically stimulating trait. I also believe that once the bloom is off the rose, we are left with nothing more than our personalities, so you better have something cool to talk about, otherwise you are just someone who was once good-looking and now has nothing to talk about. It’s about substance, people. You can put sex out there, and the gaming industry amplifies this concept drastically, even to the extent of taking what you want illegally and against someone’s will if you catch my drift, but it comes down to rationalizing the perpetuation of women in these games only as sex objects that you can smack around. Might I mention that I’m A HUGE Mortal Kombat fan, but that’s a purely violent interest that brutalizes both sexes equally. I’m an equal opportunity brutalizer. Read this article and judge for yourself if you think a change needs to happen in gaming: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/173227/Opinion_Video_games_and_Male_Gaze__are_we_men_or_boys.php
A simplistic, but classy blend of today’s swimsuit with the 50’s swimsuit. I’ve been eyeing this one for a loooong time. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.
Huh. Just realized there was probably some latent anger/frustration from Samantha over being turned down by Mr. Big in the first episode of Sex & the City. Top that off with how he treated Carrie for the remainder of the series and I totally get it. Samantha had the most reason to hate him.
